Here's some questions we processed.
comments: I'm a Black senior looking to move to Boston. What section of Boston is best for a low income male, retired military?"
ANS: Sir, it depends. Start by exploring Roxbury, Mattapan and Dorchester if you want to live in areas that are 90%+ Black and set your goal on a price you wish to pay. ABB lived in Jamaica Plain for 19 years, the South End for 3 years, Brookline Village for a minute, Waltham for six years, across from Dorchester's William J. Devine Golf Course clubhouse and the Franklin Park Zoo for six years and in Mattapan across from the new public library on Blue Hill Avenue for a year. Mattapan has the lowest priced High-Value residences says the State of Black Boston Report. We prefer areas with access to vegetarian markets and shops and to transportation lines that are convenient to walk to. But that's us, your needs are probably different.
" Comments: New to the area want to find out about starting my NPO back up. Need an incubator and guidance. Need general African American information in this area.." Ok, got it! NPO as in non-profit organization? Yes, it was. There is an organization teaching NPO formation law and procedure at the BPL Copley Square for free. It was founded by lawyers and foundation grantmakers. Having completed the course, we can tell you that its a great group to network with.
Here's another one: "Comments: I would like to find out more information about the "Metro-West Black Data Processors Organization." ANS: The connection was made, their conversation lasted 45 minutes. Thanks Metro-West BDPA.
A hiring manager wrote: "Comments: I am the Assistant Store Manager here at the Framingham REI. ..I am wondering if your club members might be interested in getting notices on when REI is hiring?" ANS: Yes advertise job leads providing a platform for persistent presence. Leads we discover or desire to promote are distributed to @blackboston Twitter, Facebook and ABB-Blog readers and we post it here. The face in the image above has been cropped. It is a sculpture titled 'DAY Niña con los ojos abiertos' 2008 by Antonio López García, and now sits on the lawn of Boston's MFA.
